Each year Viacom launch 'VIMN Summer Fridays' - a chance for all of their staff to have a half day every Friday throughout the summer months, provided that they made up the hours across the rest of the days. To encourage participation and increase exposure of the Viacom Talent social media channels, the HR team held a competition to see who used their half day most effectively. Employees were asked to post images of what they got up to on their day off using the hashtag #vimnsummerfridays. The best photo for each month would win the employee an extra days' holiday and a certificate!
The event was advertised using a combination of desk drops and posters placed around the building and all entries were shared on Viacom's Social Media Channels. The uptake was considerable and as a reminder of all those good times on a Friday afternoon, we created a wall decal featuring all of the photos in a montage. The decal is now taking pride of place in the atrium of their Hawley Crescent HQ.
