Open Day Promotion
St James' Catholic High School approached Ambleglow with the need to extend their reach and encourage new families to attend the school’s upcoming open evening. Previously, the school had relied on local press to advertise but found this was no longer enough to increase footfall.
With the open day fast approaching, Ambleglow worked with the school to ensure that we understood their aims, their catchment area and their competitors. Using this information, we set up a Facebook pay per click campaign targeting a defined group who didn’t already like the school’s page, created a Google Ads campaign promoting the schools website at the top of search results and additionally designed an outdoor banner to advertise to locals.
The campaign was very successful, performing well above average over the 14 day advertising period with Facebook generating 558 clicks, 72 post likes and 16 shares and Google generating 454 clicks, an average cost per click of 65p and a click through rate of 6.37% which is almost double the industry average.
